"It took a lot of arm twisting from my friend to join her in this 12 Week Challenge. I do nothing in half measures and this challenge was no exception. The first big hurdle is accepting that you are doing this for You and having a clear picture in your mind of what You want to achieve at the end of the challenge...
I tackled it in weekly 'bite size' chunks and set myself goals each week. Right from drinking 8 glasses of water everyday to setting weekly weight loss goals. 12 weeks is really not a long time to invest in your health and wellbeing. Don't cheat because you are just cheating yourself. Throw away those 'fat' clothes.
Don't forget that The Challenge does not end when the 12 weeks end - continue with the lifestyle that you have grown accustomed to. Accept the compliments you will receive during and after your transformation, graciously and be the inspiration to yourself, your friends and your family. Hard work and perseverance pays off and I am really loving the new Me!".

"I joined Fitness Maniacs after a very trying period in my life. I had seen results that friends had achieved and was tired of being over weight and uncomfortable in my clothes and my own skin for that matter.
I tried the BootCamp first, being an ever-cautious person, and loved it. I was still not dropping any weight, but I knew why. That awful vicious cycle of lose a few kgs and then put them straight back on again.
I signed-up for The Challenge and have not looked back since. The weight started to drop off. I felt empowered and driven. The trainers help tremendously. They are strict yet ever-encouraging. All I can do is thank every single one of them.
The training was invigorating and I could not get enough. I felt brilliant after the sessions and ready to take on the world. The diet is not easy to begin with, but once you get going, it does become habitual.
Always remember what you want to achieve, then put your head down and go for it!!
I am currently doing the next Challenge and I have dragged my daughter and a friend along with me. They love it too. It is something that you have to experience for yourself and you will not be sorry that you did. "If I can do it so can you!!! I am the queen of diet fads… anyone who knows me can confirm that more often than not I am trying a new diet/ weight loss programme/ gym sessions or new things on the market to make me lose weight. I have read millions of testimonials to try and motivate myself but still nothing got me going. They all worked to a degree but for me they were not sustainable UNTIL I got to hear about Fitness Maniacs!!!
I was on the way to meet up with a friend of mine Tracey Stewart at the beach when another friend (previous winner of a Fitness Maniacs challenge) Lesley Rose sent me her before and after pics, she had lost soooo much weight and was looking absolutely amazing!!! I obviously sounded doubtful that I could do the same until she very boldly put me in my place and said “HEY IF I CAN DO IT SO CAN YOU”
